Below is a list of some of the more popular or useful repository and archive related websites on the Net, allowing people all over the world to share their resources and experiences.  List correct at May 2003.
 

Birmingham City Archives
Link to the homepage for the local record office covering the City of Birmingham, via the "Search" facility.

Dudley Archives Service
Homepage for the local record office covering the borough of Dudley formerly in Worcestershire but now part of the West Midlands.

English Record Offices and Archives on the Net
Site with connections to the websites of most record offices in the country.

Gloucestershire Record Office
Homepage for the local record office covering Gloucestershire, including an online catalogue.

Herefordshire Record Office
Homepage for the local record office covering Herefordshire.

Historical Manuscripts Commission - ARCHON
This gives links to all registered archives in the British Isles.

National Archives of Ireland
Site provides access to finding aids, guides to research, and other information concerning the national archive of Ireland and its holdings.

National Archives of Scotland
The NAS is the repository for the public and legal records of Scotland but also holds many local and private archives.  The NAS holds records spanning the 12th to the 21st centuries, touching on virtually every aspect of Scottish life.

Public Record Office
The Public Record Office is the repository of the national archives for England, Wales and the United Kingdom.  The records, beginning with Domesday Book (1086), span an unbroken period from the 11th century to the present.

Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI)
The official place of deposit for public records in Northern Ireland.  Records date from 1219 with the main concentration of records covering the period 1600 to the present.

Resource
The Council for Museums, Archives and Libraries, which provides strategic leadership and advice on issues affecting all three domains.  The website contains information about new developments and initiatives in all three fields.  It contains reports available to download including the recent 'Archives in the Regions:  An Overview of the English Regional Archive Strategies'.

Royal Commission for Historical Manuscripts (HMC) including the National Register of Archives
Site containing the indexes to the National Register of Archives (NRA), giving information about collections of manuscript sources for British history and the Manorial Documents Register (MDR), a register of English and Welsh manorial documents.

Sandwell Community and History Archive Service
Homepage for the local record office covering the borough of Sandwell formerly part of Staffordshire but now part of the West Midlands.

Shropshire Records and Research Service
Homepage for the local record office covering Shropshire.

Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Archive Service
Homepage for the Archive Service covering Staffordshire, which includes:
