to Archives
The A2A website is a resource, which will
provide free access to eight million catalogue entries for archives dating
from the twelfth to the twentieth centuries and held in national, local
and specialist archives via the A2A site by March 2002. The A2A programme
is led by the British Library, the Historical Manuscripts Commission and
the Public Record Office.

The Archives Hub is a project that aims to make descriptions of archives

This site, hosted by the Public Record
Office, enables people to access the latest available census online for
the first time. The index is available to search free of charge but there
is a cost for viewing images of individual pages or transcriptions of the
pages. Payment can be made by using a credit or debit card or by
purchasing a voucher. Please note that the site has been very busy since
it went live on January 1st 2002 and has been experiencing difficulties.
