Book Launch - "Was It Only Yesterday"

It has become almost a tradition that, when Mike launches one of his books, we enlist the services of Evesham Library and stage the launch in the upstairs meeting room. We have had three well attended launches in recent years. This time we had visitors from as far away as Hay on Wye and Bromsgrove, eager to meet the face behind the voice on BBC Hereford & Worcester. Special guest on the morning was the inimitable Michael Barnard who's unique illustrations decorate "Was It Only Yesterday".
Mike donates a copy of
each of his books to Evesham Library, to reside with the local history
collection.

Much admired Vale artist, Michael J. Barnard,
was pleased to put his talent at
Mike's disposal.
Michael
provided his usual charming and engaging illustrations
for some of the poems in the
book and
also provided the ingenious and detailed
illustration on its cover.
Mike's wife, Marjorie, looks a little
overcome by
it all!
